We are kiwis Mark and Kathy Fray, and we are relief resort minders who specialize in ‘babysitting’ smaller Fijian boutique resorts/motels and bespoke B&Bs, so the Owners/Managers can enjoy their own getaway holiday elsewhere for a few weeks! (We can also potentially relieve for last minute unforeseen personal emergencies too – feel free to reach out and we’ll be there if we can.)
We luv Fiji (including getting married there in 1991) and these days we are semi-retired 50+ year olds who own several large 4-star Qualmark’d NZ vacation homes so are well used to the admin and hosting of guest reservations, with our goal always being to exceed guest expectations. We understand the critical importance of providing excellent customer service.
Kathy has 30 years’ experience working within both the outbound and inbound travel industries (including “back in the day” being an Air Pacific rep for several years), and Mark is a highly skilled carpenter who is well able to sort out any handyman maintenance repair jobs you need done during our stay (just give us a list – he generally can make or fix practically anything). As a team we have a great eye for and attention to detail, and we deeply appreciate how first impressions count! Additionally we also have extensive experience in property renovations, including Kathy particularly having a natural talent on being able to furnish and décor beautifully on a budget – so don’t hesitate to ask us to do any tweak enhancements to furbishings if you’d like a fresh eye over things while we’re there (or we won’t change a thing if you love everything just as it is) whatever your preference … we do as much or as little as YOU want, always ensuring the smooth running of your property.
We are reliable, respectful, self-motivated, upbeat, friendly, and scrupulously honest, taking pride to always present ourselves professionally with excellent communication skills. We would treat your loved and precious business as if it is our own, with the mantra “your business is our business” so you can take time off knowing your place is in capable hands. We would aim for a seamless management transition from Owner to Relief Minder, with us getting in touch only if there are any issues we can’t resolve, so you can relax knowing your staff and guests are well looked after. We also pride ourselves in ensuring that upon your return, things will be as easy and stress-free as possible for you to carry on from a tidy handover.
We have been big personal fans of Fiji for the past 4-5 decades – and would look forward to giving you a well-deserved break!
